This month’s meeting will be at North Austin Medical Center Auditorium on the 2nd floor, Tuesday, August 10, 2010. (Click here for MapQuest Directions) The meeting will begin at 11:45am preceded by lunch from approximately 11:15-11:45am. You can RSVP onlne. Visitors are welcome for a $5.00 charge which includes lunch and the CEUs. Our topic this month is “Taste and Smell Dysfunction: Implications for Nursing Care” given by Dr. Ronald DeVere. Dr. DeVere is a neurologist currently in private practice at the Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Disorders Center in Lakeway. He has been in private practice for 30 years and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Austin Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Dr. DeVere’s presentation will highlight not only his work, but also the advent of his publication Smell and Taste Disorders which is to be released this fall. Our sponsor this month
The Conservatory at Wells Branch is currently 80% occupied. We anticipate being a sold out community by year end 2010. The 2010 membership directories* are now available. You can pick one at the August meeting. If you did not renew your membership for 2010, you will be omitted from the mailing/email list. However, it is never too late to renew your membership. For your convenience we have attached the link to download the membership form on the ACMA website at: the 2010 membership application here. We also accept membership applications at the monthly meetings. Membership is good from January 2010 through December 2010. To ensure you receive the newsletter via email, please be sure to include your email address on your application.
