Our 3rd Quarter Community Sponsor this year is YWCA, the Young WOMEN’s Christian Association. The YWCA’s been in Austin, can you believe, 101 years! They’re not the exercise programs & gyms the YMCA is, their whole mission is empowering women, and eliminating racism. Everybody gets the two “Y’s” mixed up. They’ve been affiliated with UT for years & are a training institute for UT’s school of social work’s interns and many other disciplines, so they are very integrated with the academic and counseling world. They are a resource for women needing coaching and professional counseling.
